The first assignment is nearly due for my songwriting class. We are to submit an idea for a song. We are to describe the progression of the song with an idea the grows ‘weightier’ throughout the song. We are to describe the point of view, and when/where the song is happening.

My idea at this point is a song about a car chase that gets progressively more dangerous, with the driver shooting at the tires of the opposing car, then finally leaping from his car to the other. Naturally, he needs help steering. Hence the title: Jesus, Take The Wheel.

Hopefully the class allows for humorous songs.
