This will be the second year I will be participating in National Novel Writing Month, which starts today. Last year, I ‘won’ – I wrote a terrible novel of greater than 50,000 words in the month of November. I have the T-shirt to prove it. This year, my goals are more aggressive: I would like to write a decent (dare I say good) novel of more than 50,000 words.
To that end, I have actually planned a little bit, which is unusual for me. I’m planning a young adult novel for NaNoWriMo, and I’m also hoping to finish (finally) my science fiction novel, which should have been published by now, but I’ve left languishing in editorial hell for far too long.
Please consider participating, or at least letting NaNoWriMo inspire you to reassert your writing goals, whatever they may be.
