A lyric from a Crash Test Dummies song. Thought of it while at the Pecha KuchaColumbus event, since a lot of people there were artists, or artist-ish. I am not, at least not in the classic sense. Martial artist sure, but not a visual artist.
I was on the agenda to speak, about the importance of compassion in networking. I think it went rather well, the audience seemed to respond, and a number of people approached me with positive words afterwards.
I really liked the other presentations, particularly from the guys from Wing and Tusk, and the first presentation by Melissa Francis. Wing and Tusk were funny and engaging, with an interesting project. Melissa was more personal and heartfelt. She also gets kudos from me for going first – always difficult.
